Department of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology; bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi It is an area of expertise dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases caused by icroorganisms. In the Department of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology; Follow-up and treatment of outpatients are made and hospitalization decision is made when necessary.
In addition, patients belonging to other inpatient departments in our hospital are followed up and treated in terms of infections. In the Clinical Microbiology Laboratory affiliated to our department, tests for the detection of disease-causing microorganisms are carried out.
In our clınıcal mıcrobıology labrotory,tests on bacteriology (bacterial science), virology (virology), mycology (fungal science), parasitology (parasite science) and serology (science that investigates antibodies against microorganisms in the blood) are performed.
