CONDITIONS TO BE CONSIDERED DURING PATIENT COMPANIONSHIP
- Please follow the hospital rules. In case of violation, your right to accompany the patient will be revoked.
- Do not perform any procedures or interventions on the patient other than those directed by the physician or nurse.
- Please use hospital equipment and materials properly and keep them clean.
- To help us maintain a peaceful environment, we kindly ask you not to speak loudly or make noise in patient rooms and hallways, to use the televisions in your rooms at a volume that will not disturb others, and to turn them off or keep the sound low during doctors’ rounds and after 10:00 PM.
- Do not take the patient outside the hospital or change the patient’s bed without the approval of the attending physician or nurse.
- Do not use tobacco or alcoholic beverages within the hospital premises.
- Do not bring food or drinks for the patient, and do not give any food or drink without consulting the physician or nurse.
- Do not use kettles or similar electrical devices in the patient rooms as they may cause technical problems.
- Please inform the ward nurse in case of any change of companion.
- If you notice any problem concerning your patient’s health, please inform the ward nurses first. Do not intervene without their knowledge or approval.
UNDER WHAT CONDITIONS CAN A COMPANION BE ALLOWED?
During treatment, the patient may have a companion to assist them, as permitted by hospital regulations, subject to the hospital’s capacity, and as required by the patient’s medical condition, with the approval of the attending physician.
The use of this right must be in accordance with the procedures and principles established by our hospital. For the well-being of our patients, we kindly ask for your cooperation in following our hospital’s companion policy and accompanying your patient in accordance with these rules.
